  • Fitting into a world not made for us can affect our nervous system
  • We may otherwise struggle with burnout or high sensitivity
  • Regulating your nervous system can help us socially and with executive function
  • You matter and so does caring for your mental health

What do we mean by nervous system regulation?

Helping to increase your ability to be present in your body and remain calm even in high pressure situations or to better handle intense emotions.  Here's how it works:

  1. Being present in your body takes practice.  It is like building a muscle.  The more you practice, the easier it is.
  2. Somatic practice is an extension of mindfulness.  But it does not mean that you necessarily have to meditate.  Mindfulness can be practiced in many ways, such as during movement or simple tasks. But it is also coupled with support or resourcing to help you stay calm and focused.
